02 / Root-zone intervention method

Drill 2 Fill

Put HerbaFertil where roots need it.

Drill 2 Fill is our targeted method for installing HerbaFertil around existing trees. Carefully selected access points bring the substrate into the active root zone to support new roots, water uptake and tree recovery.

The role in the system

The substrate. The placement. The result.

HerbaFertil provides the growing medium; Drill 2 Fill puts it in the right place. We select positions near smaller roots up to approximately 5–6 mm in diameter, avoid larger, structural roots and install the units at the specified depth. Watering and follow-up support the new root growth.

Relevant settings

  • Valuable established urban trees
  • Compacted or constrained rooting environments
  • Sites requiring a targeted intervention

How it works

From assessment to follow-up.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

Inspect tree condition, soil and roots. Locate underground services and determine safe access positions.

  2. 02

    Create and fill access points

Install at positions and depths selected for the site, with attention to existing roots and infrastructure.

  3. 03

    Document the response

Keep a baseline record and follow canopy condition, moisture and maintenance over time.

Before you specify

Start with the site information.

There is no universal hole pattern. The installation layout must follow an assessment of the actual tree and site. Discuss the project before specifying quantities or depths.

Start with your site

Every tree starts with a place.

Tell us about the trees, the site and the challenge. We can discuss a technical approach, a field intervention or a monitored pilot.
